What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreWhat she loves most about dance is that it gives her a way to express herself without having to say anything. She loves performing, but she also loves everything that happens behind the scenes—the hard work, learning new skills, pushing herself when something feels impossible, and seeing that hard work pay off. Dance has taught her to be disciplined, confident and resilient, and she loves that there is always something new to work toward. Mostly, she loves how dance makes her feel like herself.
Paige is inspired by the people around her who lead by example, especially her mom, who has supported her throughout her dance journey. She is also inspired by her teachers, choreographers and fellow dancers, who challenge her to grow and remind her that success comes from hard work, discipline and resilience. She looks up to those who believe in her potential and encourage her to always keep learning.
The moment that makes me proudest is watching Paige perform on stages far outside her comfort zone. Seeing her take the stage at the Industry Dance Awards in Los Angeles for the opening number was incredibly special. I was proud not just because of the opportunity, but because I saw how much dedication, courage and hard work she had put into becoming the dancer she is today.
