Both her club and school teams are very close and has formed so many friendships. In addition, her goal is always to use the sport as a tool to glorify God and bring other people to Christ.
She is inspired by Jesus. Everything that happens in her season, whether good or bad, she always looks to God to be in control. It's how she handles stress, setbacks, but also her successes.
After her collision on the volleyball court, we had a 2 hour drive to the dentist. She spent that drive praying to God and saying "It's OK, God is in control, I am going to be alright." Instead of placing blame or looking into the future, she focused on the present and knew God was in control. She ended up joining the track team a few weeks late due to the injury and was a state qualifier in the 4X200 and broke multiple school records.
