Join the CompetitionShe loves being part of something where you work together to achieve the same goal, she’s an huge believer that you win as a TEAM, not as one player and she also loves the friendships that it has formed through the years off of the field. She also loves to see growth in her skill set which you only get but putting in the time.
On and off the field it’s the other female players who she idolizes that have suffered similar setbacks that she looks up to. They have showed her that all things can be overcome and she likes to show others the same thing. Her brother also inspires her to work hard to be successful. She sees his drive and determination when it comes to his education and future and wants to put that same work into all that she does. She is his biggest fan - although quietly.
It was the moment she laced up her cleats and played in her first game back from her first ACL tear. I know the strength she had to regain both physically and mentally to do that and I was in awe that at 15 she was able to do that. In a few weeks time I will watch her do the exact same thing for a second year in a row and I know I will feel exactly the same way - but even more so the 2nd time around. She’s got this - I just know it!
