What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He loves the camaraderie amongst his team mates, the thrill of each play and how it challenges him to dig deep and power through tough situations, both mentally and physically. He's always loved football the most, but also really likes basketball and track. With basketball, he is an extreme defensive force. He loves the pace of the game and how he has to think quick on his feet. Track is a completely different sport that challenges him as an individual who has to do well to help his team.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

He has been inspired by some of his teachers, coaches and professional athletes. He is inspired by athletes who live their lives respectably by practicing what they preach. God and Family are his rocks. His 1st grade teacher challenged him to be who he wants to be through his actions and never forgot that. He still talks with her today. He had a coach who overcame major obstacles and showed the team how they can too if they put in the work. He was an huge inspiration to Park.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Park had a rough start at his freshman football year. He'd given up his entire summer to go through the football program putting in the work without complaining, still not getting play time. That didn't deter his ethics to work hard. He was finally given his chance to perform due to an injured player. He went on that field and showed everyone why he deserved that spot making 3 TD's. He's started ever since. Very proud moment!
