What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreAs a 3 sport athlete, all of Parker’s focus stems from his love of football. From the first day he was handed pads and a helmet he has had one big dream, the NFL. As he enters his 9th season on the gridiron that love has evolved from being strictly about the game to the greater life lessons taught by his coaches. He puts all those skills to use on the basketball court and the wrestling mat as he uses his two off season sports to help him stay ready and fuel that competitive fire.
His dad inspires him because he has always believed in him, challenged him to work harder, and taught him that success comes from character, not just talent. In his words “He reminds me to stay humble, lead by example, and never quit when things get tough.”
Watching my son become the leader his teammates count on. As a starting center for five years, he’s learned that leadership isn’t about recognition—it’s about encouraging others, staying positive, and giving everything you have every single play. Seeing younger players look up to him last year when he helped coach a K/1 team has been one of my proudest moments as a parent.
