What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Parker loves the competition and the challenges that come along with it. He loves the push of self discipline and the collectiveness of teamwork. His passion and dedication is on display every time he hits the ice. The feeling of accomplishment with a win as well as the lesson given with each loss are just a small part of his love for hockey.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Parker is inspired by Cale Makar. He feels he made him a better defender and helped him win more puck battles by studying his way of defending. He is also inspired by Austin Matthews. Parker studies his shot to improve the way he shoots. He is also inspired by his teammates and coaches to continue growing as a supportive player and to always remember to leave it all out on the ice.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

There was a year when Parker was on the same team as his brother and he won the MVP award for the tournament they played in. Parker passed his award to his big brother and told him that he was more deserving of the award than he was. His acknowledgement of another teammates efforts (especially his big brother) was selfless and a true display of his definition of a teammate. He gave the award to his brother and gave him the reasons he believed he should have the award instead.
