My aunt Jenna who is in the Navy inspires me on and off the field. She was a 3 sport team captain in HS and she academically challenged herself like I do. She enlisted in the Navy after two years of college because she wanted to defend our country. She gets deployed often and time is away from my family and her own family, but she continues to be positive and as she says YOLO. Even when times get tough, I think of her as she is there. Always my cheerleader!
I was in a championship match vs a 3 time NJ state placer, I was losing 7 nothing but I was in the match and was working. I kept my composure, my mind was on the prize, so ai continued to work.. I end up scoring but its down to the last 10 seconds still down, and I take him down and held him. I went from a 7-0 to winning 11-9. My mind was focused and all the people in the stands on both sides came up to me and told me how incredible that match was. I was so very proud and my dedication paid off.
