What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What Paxton loves most about racing is the way it quiets the world around him. Paxton has autism, and one of his incredible strengths is hyperfocus. He uses that same skill as a hockey goalie, but on the racetrack it becomes his superpower. The moment he gets behind the wheel, the noise and distractions disappear and it’s just Paxton, the car, and the track ahead. Racing gives him focus, freedom, confidence, and a place where he can challenge himself, feel capable, and completely be himself!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Paxton is inspired by racers who prove you don’t have to fit a mold to succeed. He’s always looked up to Dale Earnhardt and Kyle Busch because they raced with confidence and stayed unapologetically themselves. He’s also inspired by autistic racers, especially Austin Riley of Racing with Autism, who shows him that being different is not a limit. To Paxton, they prove that courage, individuality, and passion can take you farther than fitting in ever could. That inspires him to dream big.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Late in the 2025 season, Paxton’s car broke and his racing community refused to let that end his season. They held a 50/50, donated, and helped get him back on track. In his first race back, Paxton nearly lapped the entire field and took the win. What made it unforgettable wasn’t the trophy—it was knowing the people cheering from the stands were the same people who made that race possible. That night showed Paxton what community means: people who believe in you, show up, and help you keep going.
