What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreWhat Perry loves most about playing football is the brotherhood, the competition, and the feeling of being part of something bigger than himself. He loves pushing his teammates, making big plays, overcoming challenges, and seeing all the hard work pay off on Friday nights. Football gives him a chance to compete, lead, grow, and represent his school and family with pride.
Perry’s dad is his biggest inspiration on and off the field. He teaches Perry to work hard, stay humble, never make excuses, and keep pushing when things get tough. Through his example, Perry has learned that success comes from discipline, dedication, and believing in yourself. His dad is always there to encourage him, hold him accountable, and remind him that the person he becomes is just as important as the athlete he is.
The championship game is one moment in Perry’s journey that made me especially proud. Watching him step onto the field, compete with heart, and give everything he had showed me how much he has grown. It wasn’t just about the outcome—it was about his determination, confidence, teamwork, and never giving up. Seeing him fight through pressure and represent his team with pride reminded me that all his hard work is paying off.
