Learn MoreWhat I love most about being a goalkeeper is the pressure and leadership that comes with the position. I love seeing the whole field, organizing my defense, and making a diving save when my team needs it most. Soccer has taught me how to be resilient, and nothing beats the feeling of earning a clean sheet after a tough, hard-fought match with my teammates.
Off the field, I am inspired by my mom who is a single mother. She has supported me through all 11 years of my soccer journey. She has taught me to never give up, to overcome every obstacle, and to always play with heart. Her belief in me makes me want to be a better athlete and a stronger person every day, both on and off the soccer field. She works so hard to make sure I can play no matter the cost or distance. She's been by my side for every practice, game & tournament.
My proudest moment was at a tournament in Richmond, Virginia. We were holding onto a tight 2-1 lead in the championship game when the other team was awarded a penalty kick in the final minutes. If Phoenix hadn't saved it, the game would have tied. Under immense pressure, he made an incredible save to protect our lead and secure the first-place championship. It perfectly showcased his focus, nerves of steel, and clutch goaltending.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
