I love competing, challenging myself, and seeing all the hard work pay off. Most of all, I love the friendships, the memories, and the excitement that come with playing the sports I love.
In hockey, Portia is inspired by her coach, who always pushes her to work harder, stay disciplined, and believe in herself, especially when things get tough. She also looks up to Marie-Philip Poulin for her leadership, determination, and ability to perform under pressure. Most of all, she is inspired by her parents, who have always believed in her, supported her dreams, and encouraged her to never give up. The moments that make me proudest are not just when Portia wins or scores, but when I see how much she has grown as an athlete and as a person. I’m especially proud when she faces a challenge, keeps working, and never gives up. Seeing her step onto the ice with confidence, support her teammates, and give everything she has is what makes me the proudest.
