What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What I love most about playing sports is the feeling of giving everything I have and pushing myself to be the best I can be. I love the competition, the excitement, and especially being part of a team that supports and encourages one another. Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

God and my dad are the two biggest inspirations in my life, both on and off the field. When I was four years old, my dad passed away, and from that moment on, I have wanted to work hard, be the best person I can be, and make him proud. I know he is watching over me, and I carry his memory with me in everything I do. Most importantly, I know I couldn’t accomplish anything without God. He gives me the strength, courage, and determination to keep pushing forward, even when things get difficult.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment in my athletic journey that makes me the proudest is knowing that I never gave up, no matter the outcome. I’m proud of the times I worked hard, pushed through challenges, and made it all the way to the championship—and then won. One of my biggest accomplishments was making it to State in track for the first time my first year and placing 5th out of 42 athletes. That experience showed me that hard work, determination, and believing in myself can take me farther than I ever imagined.
