What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

My son loves playing quarterback because it’s about more than throwing touchdowns. He loves leading by example, cheering on his teammates, and helping them understand every play. In the offseason, he trains hard and studies film to find ways he and his team can improve. Football has taught him leadership, teamwork, and the joy of making everyone around him better.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Off the field, my son is inspired by the hard work his mom and dad put in every day to provide him and his brother with opportunities and a life better than we had growing up. He sees the sacrifices, dedication, and commitment it takes to build a brighter future. On the field, his biggest inspiration is his dad, a former quarterback who competed in the Nike Elite 11 camps in high school. He strives to carry on that legacy through hard work, leadership, and a love for the game.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

My proudest moment in my son’s athletic journey isn’t a touchdown or a big win—it’s watching him celebrate every positive play by looking for his little brother, who has autism, to share that joy. It shows the love in his heart. I’m equally proud of how he always puts his team before himself, encouraging every teammate and wanting everyone around him to succeed. His character and selflessness mean more to me than any trophy ever could.
