What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Quintin loves that football challenges him and pushes him to be better every day. Being the quarterback and leader of the team is not easy, but he loves the responsibility and the challenge that comes with it. He also loves the friendships he has made throughout the years. What started as friendships have grown into a brotherhood, and those relationships and memories are a huge part of what makes football so special to him.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

On the field, Coach Kibler and Coach Fig inspire Quintin. Both coaches have gone above and beyond to make sure he is prepared physically and mentally for every game. The love and support they have shown him goes far beyond being coaches—they have become mentors who truly care about him as a person. Off the field, his biggest inspiration is his mom. She has sacrificed so much over the years to always be there for him, support his dreams, and remind him to never give up.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

What makes me proudest as his mom is seeing how much Quintin loves coaching and giving back to the youth in his community. He takes time out of his day to help young athletes become better players while showing leadership, compassion, patience, and encouragement. One moment that made me especially proud was when a little boy asked Quintin for his autograph because he said it would make him run faster. Knowing these young athletes look up to my son is something I will always treasure.
