What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreRachel loves the challenge of wrestling and the feeling of pushing herself to become stronger and better. She loves that wrestling is a sport where she has to rely on herself, stay focused, and never give up. She enjoys the competition, the friendships she has made, and the feeling of accomplishing something she worked hard for. Most of all, she loves seeing what she is capable of and how far she can push herself.
Rachel is inspired by her coaches and teammates, but I think what inspires her most is seeing other strong women who work hard and don’t give up. She loves seeing what others are capable of and it motivates her to keep pushing herself. She wants to become the best wrestler she can be and see just how far she can go.
Honestly, every time Rachel steps onto the wrestling mat, I’m proud of her. It takes strength and courage to put yourself out there and compete. Seeing her work hard, push through challenges, and believe in herself makes me incredibly proud. When she wins a match, watching all that hard work pay off is an amazing feeling. But win or lose, I’m always proud when she steps on that mat and gives it her all.
