What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Raegan loves being a part of a team, the friendships that she builds, being there to cheer on her team, and the daily challenges she takes on to improve her skill. As a pitcher, she loves the excitement of being in the circle, being a part of the action and staying strong under pressure.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Raegan has always been inspired by college softball players. Since she was little, she watched Softball on TV and taught herself how to pitch by studying some of the sports biggest names, including Sam Landry, NiJaree Canady and Jordy Bohl. These athletes that she first began watching in college are now playing professionally in one of the fastest growing women sports paving the way for young girls like Raegan to dream big and follow in their footsteps. These are the women inspiring her.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Watching Raegan’s journey as a pitcher makes me the proudest. She taught herself by watching college softball and refused to take no for an answer when we warned her “you don’t want to be a pitcher, it’s hard.” She now works to improve through weekly lessons, practices and extra reps when she can get them in. There have been tears, anger, and frustration, but she battles through every challenge. Seeing her celebrate the little wins makes it all worthwhile.
