What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What Rhyan loves most about softball is the friendships, the connections, and being part of a team. For her, it’s about more than just playing the game—it’s about competing alongside her teammates, supporting each other, and working toward the same goal. The lessons she’s learned through softball, both on and off the field, have helped shape who she is and will stay with her long after the game.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Rhyan’s biggest inspiration is her pitching coach, Brooke Richards. Since Rhyan was 12 years old, Brooke has been so much more than a coach, she’s been a mentor, role model, and someone Rhyan knows she can always count on. Brooke has a special way of connecting with her athletes, encouraging them to believe in themselves and always bring their best. Her positive energy, genuine care, and unwavering support have inspired Rhyan to grow as both a player and a person.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the moments that makes us proudest of Rhyan is watching her choose character over circumstances. Even through adversity, she never stopped working, never lost her positive attitude, and never stopped believing in herself. She leads with kindness, lifts up younger teammates, and makes everyone feel like they belong. That’s the kind of leader she is, on and off the field.
