What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Ricky loves the camaraderie of sports, learning, growing, and becoming his best self. He values playing with friends, building lasting memories, and challenging himself to learn new skills. He sees sports as more than competition—they’re an opportunity to grow, develop confidence, build meaningful relationships, and learn valuable life skills that will stay with him long after the game ends.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

God. His faith is what inspires him most. He believes the talents he has been given are gifts meant to be developed and shared with others. He strives to use those gifts to their fullest potential, continually grow into the best version of himself, and honor God through his actions, dedication, and the way he uses his abilities to positively impact others.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

What makes me proudest of Ricky’s athletic journey is his unwavering dedication. When he loves something, he commits wholeheartedly—even through injuries, setbacks, and disappointments. I’m especially inspired by the way he incorporates his faith into his sport. He recognizes that his talents are gifts, not something he achieved alone, and he carries that understanding with humility, gratitude, and a genuine desire to honor God through his journey.
