Join the CompetitionRien loves the challenge of being a goalie. He likes knowing every game is different and that he can make a big difference for his team. He loves competing, facing better players, and figuring out what he needs to improve. More than anything, he enjoys seeing his hard work pay off and getting better every time he steps on the rink.
His family inspires him most. He wants to make us proud, but more importantly, he sees how hard everyone works and carries that same mindset into hockey. We support him through the wins, losses, long drives, and practices, and he knows we’re always in his corner.
One of the moments that made us proudest was watching him, at only 11, step in and play with 14-year-olds from around the world. Not because of the result, but because he was willing to be uncomfortable, challenge himself, and just enjoy the opportunity. Seeing him travel, meet new teammates, and grow more confident through those experiences has been really special for our family.
