Both of my parents inspire me ON and OFF the field. My Dad inspires me OFF the field by reminding me to stay calm, keep my composure, and always remember to play with joy. My Mom inspires me ON the field because she always gives me great tips and advice to improve my game, and everything I do on the field is for her because I want to make her proud.
River has a very kind heart and exhibits great sportsmanship. There’s an abundance of proud moments with River, but the one that best embodies who he is involves his younger sister, Dolly. She was scared to start her first day of soccer practice with her new team. River spoke with her, encouraged her to be brave, and give it a try. She wiped her tears and ran towards her new team. Shortly thereafter, River was assisting the coach with drills and mentoring the younger players. Very proud moment.
