What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreRobert loves sports. He has ADHD so he loves anything that makes his body move but he has a passion for football. He loves everything about it from the bond with his team mates and coaches, to the competition involved in it, and hearing his uncle and I cheering for him!
His uncle Rell. Robert is adopted. His bio mom is my sister who is struggling with addiction right now. Me and my boyfriend “his uncle Rell” have been raising him since he was 2. He truly adores his uncle Rell.
When Robert plays against his regular tackle football teammates during flag season he try’s not to upset them because he doesn’t want them to not like him but this year when he went against them in the championship game he let his love for the game outweigh his desire to be liked by his friends. Robert struggles with the need to be liked so I was proud of him for believing in himself in that moment
