What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreHe loves being around good people on his basketball team and feeding off of the good energy when on the court during games and practice.
He says his dad inspires him on and off the court. The way he pushes him to want to work and be better at what he does. Not only as an athlete, but as a student as well.
He’s been on his AAU team for three years, coming off the bench as a 6th man. This year he really fell into his roll and was awarded MVP of two tournament games this year. I kept drilling into him that not starting isn’t a bad thing, just come in and do what you do best, play defense, hype the team up, change the flow of the game, points will come off of your defense, and see what happens. I was a proud when he got his picture taken and saw that MVP beside his name. Hard work pays off!!!
