Derek Jeter inspires RJ to understand that being a successful athlete is about more than statistics, trophies, and wins. It's about character, leadership, giving back, and using the opportunities you have to make a positive difference in someone else's life
One of my proudest moments as RJ’s mom has nothing to do with how he performed on the field, even though watching him play and seeing how much he has improved makes me incredibly proud. My proudest moment was watching him help coach his younger brothers on the field. Seeing RJ take the time to teach them, encourage them, correct them, and cheer them on. It’s not him playing baseball it’s about him being a great role model and someone his brothers can look up to.
