The person who inspired and continues to inspire Roman the most is his sister, Jersey. She passed away in 2023 at the age of 11. Jersey was Roman's biggest fan and his "bestie." He now wears #11 on his jerseys along with special arm sleeves and wrist bands in memory of his sister. LLJ - "Live Like Jersey" can be found written on his cleats. He will always play with heart to make his big sister proud in Heaven.
There have been so many instances that Roman has made me proud, but perhaps the times that he can be observed cheering his teammates on bring the most pride. It shows his character and the compassion he has for not only his teammates but also his opponents.
