Learn MoreWatching him play, it’s clear that sports are where he’s happiest. When I asked him what he loves most, he said he loves scoring touchdowns, learning new plays, being with his teammates, and having fun. Whether it’s football, baseball, basketball, or flag football, he simply loves being active and giving his all every time he steps onto the field or court.
When I asked him who inspires him, without hesitation he said, “My mom.” He told me I inspire him because I always believe in him, cheer him on, and remind him to never give up. Hearing that meant more to me than he’ll ever know. I hope he always remembers that I’ll be in his corner, encouraging him to work hard, stay humble, and believe in himself.
I’m most proud of the way he approaches every sport with heart and determination. He told me he’s proud that he never gives up, even when things get hard, and that he enjoys seeing himself improve each season. As his mom, seeing his confidence grow, watching him become a supportive teammate, and seeing the joy he has every time he plays makes me incredibly proud. His love for the game and willingness to keep learning are what stand out the most.
