What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreBeing able to have brotherhood but also exemplify leadership. Since his injury he has really embodied leadership and also being a servant of the Lord, with his platform. Taking integrity in the grind and preparation of being the best form of himself.
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is his main inspiration. Knowing that he is made in God’s image and he has been given a gift from God. Knowing that the sport is a platform that he can share the good news on.
His 8th grade championship game he went down with a hamstring injury 9 minutes into the 1st quarter. He was heavily missed on all sides of the ball. I remember seeing him hurt on the sideline but also encouraging his teammates to finish the drill ( chop wood). Seeing him be a leader while being sidelined from an injury was amazing to see. He was asked early in the season to change positions and by doing that it lead to him receiving linebacker of the year. That’s humbleness and reward all in one
