Royele’s father inspires him on and off the field. He has instilled into Royele success is more than winning. He leads by example, teaching him discipline and respect to others, builds his confidence by speaking life into him, and shares the love of the game.
One moment in Royele’s athletic journey that has made me the proudest was watching my son cheer his teammates on when the morale had gotten low during a game in which they were not winning. It showed me that despite the score not being in their favor, Royele understood it’s not all about winning, but showing up and giving your all, never giving up, and encouraging others when they may not be receiving the result they would like.
