What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

In her words: What I love most about playing my sport is seeing my hard work turn into growth, not only for myself but for my team. I believe that when I challenge myself to become better, I can help my teammates become better too. Basketball has taught me commitment, perseverance, and the importance of believing in myself. The relationships I’ve built and the life lessons I’ve learned through this sport are what make this journey so special and meaningful.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Kyrie Irving has always inspired me through his on-court skill and the way he confidently expresses his beliefs. Growing up, I wanted to mirror his creativity and dedication, which taught me to embrace hard work with gratitude. His passion, independence, and focus remind me that staying true to myself is a strength. Watching him has encouraged me to trust my own perspective, stand by my values, and continue growing as a leader

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the moments that makes me proudest is seeing Ruby’s resilience when she transferred to a new school her freshman year. Even when people doubted her, she showed up to every game, supported her teammates, & never gave up. That same heart carried her to compete against a highly regarded D1 point guard, helping lead her team to the CIF Championship. Seeing her cut the net after an undefeated league season was unforgettable, but her kindness ❤️& ability to inspire everyone is my biggest pride.
