Learn MoreI love softball because it has given me an incredible team, lifelong friendships, and connections that go far beyond the field. I love the camaraderie, team spirit, and the feeling of being part of something bigger than myself. Softball has taught me discipline, hard work, dedication, and never giving up. The bonds, memories, challenges, and celebrations we share make this game so special. It’s more than a sport—it’s a family, and a part of who I am.
My coaches inspire me because they truly coach for the love of the game. They don’t have kids playing, yet they choose to dedicate their time and energy to helping us grow. They attend clinics with us, support us every step of the way, and even give up their free time to work with me one-on-one on my batting. Their commitment, passion, and belief in us motivates me to work harder and be the best player and person I can be.
My proudest moment was seeing all my hard work and practice pay off. At a tournament in Federal Way, I hit my first home run over a 230-foot fence. As I rounded the bases, I was crying, my coach was crying at third base, and my parents were crying in the stands. It was an emotional moment that reminded me why I work so hard. It was truly an amazing feeling and a memory I will never forget.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
