Learn MoreSadie loves volleyball because she enjoys being part of a team, learning new skills, and challenging herself to get better. She loves setting the ball for her teammates and celebrating after a big hit. Most of all, volleyball gives her a chance to have fun, build confidence, and make memories with her friends.
Sadie is inspired by the people who remind her to be strong, grateful, and never give up. Playing volleyball for Skylar Lavender, a young girl who passed away and loved the game, gives Sadie a special purpose on the court. Her grandfather, who was paralyzed for most of his life, also inspires her. He never complained and always reminded Sadie that he was proud of her and that she could do anything she set her mind to.
The moment that makes Sadie proudest was when her 90-year-old MeMa came to watch her play. Sadie has a big heart and genuinely cares about people. No award, trophy, or spotlight could ever outweigh the smile and pride on her MeMa’s face. Sadie shares that same encouragement, love, and pride by showing up for her friends and family during their special moments, just as they have always shown up for her.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
