While she enjoys competing in volleyball, basketball, and softball, cheerleading is her favorite. She loves the excitement of Friday nights, supporting her school, and the bond she shares with her teammates. Sports have taught her the value of hard work, teamwork, commitment, and pushing herself to always give her best.
Samantha is inspired by her older sister, Natalie, and her dad. She grew up watching Natalie play sports and wanted to follow in her footsteps. Her dad is a Chambers alumnus and was also a multi-sport athlete, and Samantha loves hearing his stories about playing for Chambers. Both have taught her the importance of hard work, being a good teammate, and taking pride in representing her school.
There have been many proud moments, but one of the biggest was watching Samantha and her teammates win the JV softball state championship her freshman year—the first in school history. I’m also incredibly proud that she balances four sports, competition cheer, dual-enrollment classes, and being a school ambassador while maintaining all A’s. Her dedication in the classroom and in athletics makes me proudest of all.
