More than winning, he loves seeing his hard work pay off and knowing that every match gives him an opportunity to learn, grow, and become a stronger athlete and person.
SJ is inspired by the people who believe in him and push him to be his best, especially his family and coaches. He also looks up to athletes who have faced obstacles but continued working toward their goals. Their determination reminds him that success isn’t just about talent; it’s about discipline, perseverance, humility, and never giving up.
One of the moments that makes me proudest is watching SJ continue to compete and succeed even when the pressure is high. Seeing him earn third in states GHSA after years of hard work showed me how much he has grown. I’m most proud not simply because he won, but because of the discipline, confidence, and determination he showed getting there.
