Santiago’s inspirations include Elly De La Cruz, along with his mommy and daddy. Elly is an inspiration, because of the intensity he plays with. From the home runs, to his strong throwing skills and making the game look like fun. His mom and dad are inspirations because they continue to be by his side, teaching him the game of baseball and believing in his dreams of going to the league. They are always there to install confidence in him.
Santiago has always played up above his age group and during his fall 2025 season he got his very first nickname “The Vacuum”. Nothing got past him playing first base. When he moved up to kid pitch this spring, he became one of the go to pitchers. He struck out 3 players in the game that got his team into the playoffs. Both times the sparks in his eyes brought electricity to every one around him.
