What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

The thing I love the most about playing volley/softball is having fun. The court and pitch are my stage. I get to show my skills, development, and love for the game. I love being with my teammates, who are always there for me, always supporting me through ins/outs,ups/downs, wins/losses, great plays, missed balls, bad serves. The field and court I feel like home. I love the cheering, whether I'm leading them, chiming in or starting them. Whether playing or on the bench, I give 100%. Suiting up.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My mom and my closest friends inspire me all around. My mom is at my games, being there when I’m not doing my greatest, never gets mad when I make a mistake, and is my biggest supporter ALWAYS. She makes playing sports fun for me. Let's me lead and she follows. She has taught me so much. My closest friends are very supportive with anything, I can tell them whatever I’m feeling and they don’t ever judge me. They encourage me to do better and always celebrate the little victories. I pass forward.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One reoccurring moment that makes me proud is her overall attitude to be better on and off the court/pitch. School, teammate, person, ect. She mightsay maybe and feel inadequate at first because she doesn't want to mess up, but after she practices or repeats the skills, she owns it and has so much confidence. I always tell her to say yes when a coach asks you to play a different position, they see that you can and trust you to carry out the task. Not to perfection, but they know you are reliable.
