What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He loves the competition—the chance to test himself against the best and excel to the next level. In track, it's the clock: chasing a faster time, studying top runners, and pushing past his limits rep after rep. In football, it's the brotherhood—battling alongside his teammates, leading as captain, and knowing everyone trusts him when it matters most. Win or lose, he loves the mutual respect of competing hard and shaking hands after. Both sports feed his drive to never settle.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His biggest inspiration is his mom, who faced cancer and never gave up. Watching her fight with faith and strength taught him that adversity can be overcome in any circumstance—it's all about believing and refusing to quit. His coach inspires him too, pushing him to keep going when things get tough and never letting him settle. Together, they've shown him that real strength is about faith, resilience, and showing up even when it's hard. That's what keeps him chasing the next level.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment I'm proudest of is his comeback from a serious groin injury. It was an emotional rollercoaster—frustration, doubt, and impatience to get back on the field. But instead of giving up, he leaned into his determination and grit, working relentlessly to heal and get stronger. He turned a setback into fuel, refusing to let it define him. Watching him fight back with faith and discipline, and return even more determined than before, is a moment that will always make me proud.
