What Sevyn loves most about playing basketball is the feeling of competing, improving, and being part of a team. He loves the challenge of pushing himself, learning new skills, and seeing his hard work pay off. Most of all, he loves being on the court, making plays, encouraging his teammates, and having fun while doing what he loves.
Sevyn is inspired most by his family, especially his mom, who teaches him to work hard, stay focused, and never give up. On the court, he looks up to great basketball players who show discipline, confidence, and a strong work ethic. He wants to keep learning, improving, and becoming the best player and person he can be.
One moment that makes me most proud was when Sevyn scored 35 points in a game. While the points were exciting, what made me proudest was his maturity. He stayed focused and played with the same energy from beginning to end. Even when he missed a shot or got frustrated, he didn’t let his emotions take over. He kept encouraging himself, stayed in the game, and continued giving his best effort.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
