What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

My son loves playing soccer because it gives him a place to challenge himself, express his creativity, and grow both as a player and as a person. He loves the excitement of having the ball at his feet, creating opportunities, connecting with his teammates, and competing at a high level. Soccer has taught him discipline, resilience, leadership, and teamwork. Most importantly, he genuinely enjoys the game and is always motivated to improve, learn, and become the best player he can be.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Cristiano Ronaldo inspires my son because of his incredible work ethic, discipline, and determination to succeed. As a parent, I admire how Ronaldo has shown that talent alone is not enough. Success requires sacrifice, consistency, and a strong mindset. My son looks up to his dedication and uses his example as motivation to work harder, overcome challenges, and continue improving both on and off the soccer field.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

As a parent, watching my son represent Team Canada at the FC Bayern Youth Cup World Final was an incredibly proud and inspiring moment. Seeing him compete internationally against talented players from around the world showed us the result of his hard work, dedication, and passion for soccer. It inspired him to believe that his goals are possible and motivated him to continue working hard, challenging himself, and pursuing his dream of playing at the highest level.
