What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Skyla loves learning new choreography, and seeing her progress over the years. I can see how much she just loves pushing herself and becoming a stronger dancer everyday. She truly expresses herself through her movement and music and it is such a beautiful thing to watch. She loves the dance community and meeting new incredible dancers at every dance event we attend.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My daughter Skyla is on a team of dancers a few years years older than her and she is always so inspired and greatful she gets to dance with dancers that inspire her everyday. She moved studios last year and seeing these girls take her in and include her was such a beautiful thing. She is also very inspired by many convention choreographers and professional dancers including ava wagner, briar nolet and hailey bills.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One moment that made me the proudest of my daughter skyla was her attending the dance awards in las vegas this summer. It is the most prestigious, intense, and most competitive nationals there is for dance. She performed her heart out on that stage and made everyone so proud. Just attending the dance awards is such a huge accomplishment, and it took such a long journey for her to get there but she had a goal and she worked so hard to achieve it.
