What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreWhat she loves most about running track is the feeling of pushing herself to be better every time she steps on the track. She loves the excitement of competition, setting personal goals, and seeing her hard work turn into results. She especially loves the challenge of learning new events, cheering on her teammates, and crossing the finish line knowing she gave it her all.
Her biggest inspiration is her family, especially her mom, who constantly encourages her to believe in herself and never give up. She is also inspired by her coaches and teammates, who push her to work harder and remind her that success comes from dedication, discipline, and consistency. They inspire her to keep chasing her goals and become the best athlete and person she can be.
One moment that makes me proudest is when she decided to take on hurdles in the middle of the track season. It was a completely new event and definitely challenging, but she didn’t give up. She kept practicing, learning from her mistakes, and pushing herself to improve. Watching her step outside of her comfort zone, stay determined, and eventually qualify for the Junior Olympics showed me just how strong and resilient she truly is.
