What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Gymnastics has taught Sloane confidence, perseverance, and joy, but what she loves most is being part of a team. She celebrates her teammates’ successes as much as her own and genuinely wants everyone to do well. She loves learning new skills, challenging herself, and the friendships she’s built. For Sloane, gymnastics isn’t just about competing, it’s about encouraging others and growing together.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Sloane’s biggest inspirations are her coaches, especially those who have helped her grow from a timid little gymnast into a confident teammate. They’ve shown her that character matters more than medals. She also admires Katelyn Ohashi for reminding athletes to find joy in gymnastics and Hezly Rivera for her determination and work ethic. They inspire Sloane to compete with heart, humility, and kindness.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment that makes me proudest isn’t a medal or a score, it’s watching Sloane consistently choose kindness. Whether she’s cheering on a teammate after a fall, celebrating someone else’s success, or welcoming younger gymnasts, she always puts her team first. Earning her team’s Team Player Award multiple years in a row showed that the people who know her best recognize the character she brings to gymnastics every day.
