What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Sophia loves the challenge of dance and the hard work it takes to improve. She loves the feeling of finally mastering something she’s worked on over and over…whether it’s a new trick, getting her leg higher, or nailing choreography. Most of all, she loves performing, becoming part of the music, and showing everyone what all of her hard work and determination helped her accomplish.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

The girls from the original Dance Moms inspire Sophia both on and off the stage. They showed her that dance is a sport that takes strength, discipline, determination, and years of hard work while still creating something beautiful. Off the stage, she’s inspired by how they’ve turned dance into incredible opportunities, from owning studios to Broadway, movies, and other careers in entertainment. They’ve shown her that the countless hours spent training can open doors far beyond the stage.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment that made me proudest was watching Sophia earn her solo last season. She was the only dancer in her studio to receive one and the youngest in studio history. It challenged her to master new skills and work harder than ever. But what made me proudest was seeing the smile, joy, and confidence it gave her. Watching her step onstage, completely light up, and perform a number that was entirely hers is a moment I’ll never forget.
