Learn MoreShe loves softball because it gives her a place to be herself, compete, and have fun doing something she truly loves. She loves being on the field with her teammates, cheering them on, making memories, and working together toward one goal. She enjoys the excitement of every hit, catch, and big play, but most of all, she loves the friendships, confidence, and sense of belonging softball has given her. Softball isn’t just a sport to her—it’s something that makes her happy
Her coaches, teammates, and family inspire her most. Her coaches push her to improve, her teammates motivate her to give her all, and her family reminds her to stay strong, humble, and never give up. As a catcher, she also inspires herself to be a leader—protecting the plate, encouraging her pitcher, and always being ready for the next play.
The moment that made me proudest was watching her conquer her fear of catching for the fastest pitcher on her team. She trusted herself, stepped behind the plate, and showed incredible courage. Then she topped it off by completing her very first double play! Seeing her overcome that fear and realize what she was capable of is a moment I’ll never forget.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
