What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

My son say he loves the game I think me being his #1 fan helps push him but him having little brothers plays a major role in why he love sports he say there is so many people going down the wrong path in life and he always tells me he wants his brothers to look at him as they role model due to me being a single parent and no matter how hard things get never give up he use to get bullied because he was chubby he say when he see me and his siblings see him play and cheer him on it pushes him more.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My son say me and his 2 little brothers inspire him I ask him why he say I inspire him because he has seen me go through so much as a single mother from abusive relationships to being homeless and he said no matter how hard things have gotten I’ve never left his side I always push him to go harder and teach him just because someone else is a certain way doesn’t mean you have to follow them lead by example and he say he doesn’t want to fail his little brothers he want them to know they can do it

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Every moment makes me proud of him it’s not just one thing my son is strong willed he has determination he doesn’t give up when things get hard he continues to push and when he see a team mate wanting to give up he pushes them and let them know it’s not easy but as a team and a little motivation anything is possible so him just being him make me proud and honored to be his mother and #1 FAN
