What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Tayla loves dance because it lets her express passion, connect with others, and inspire younger dancers. Her artistry moves audiences, her kindness lifts teammates, and her dedication to teaching shows how deeply she values the sport. Dance is her strength, her joy, and her way of giving back. Dance is where she feels powerful, has freedom to express emotions, and is able to lift others through both performance and teaching.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Tayla is inspired by her father’s unwavering work ethic and his belief in always striving beyond expectations. She’s motivated by a dance instructor whose example showed her what true passion, dedication, and belief in others looks like. Their influence fuels her purpose and commitment to growing as both an athlete and a mentor. She relates with those who overcome obstacles in order to perform because she continues to excel at a competitive sport while managing severe scoliosis

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

A proud moment was when a younger dancer who once struggled with severe anxiety was able to step onstage and perform confidently because of Tayla’s support. Her encouragement, patience, and belief in others empower dancers to overcome fear and discover their strength. Tayla lifts people in ways that go far beyond dance.
