What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

She loves the challenge of learning new skills and seeing how much she can improve. After spending most of her life in competitive gymnastics, she recently switched to all-star cheer and fell in love with it. She loves being part of a team, pushing herself at every practice, and working toward skills she used to think would take her years to achieve. Most of all, she loves the feeling of seeing her hard work pay off.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Her coaches and teammates inspire her every day, but an athlete she really looks up to is Teagan from the team Orange Rays. Her coaches constantly push her to become a stronger athlete and remind her that there is always room to grow. Her teammates inspire her to work harder and always keep her laughing through tough practices. Being surrounded by people who believe in her motivates her to keep pushing herself, even when something is difficult.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

I am proudest of how quickly she adapted when she left competitive gymnastics and started all-star cheer. She entered a completely new sport and earned a spot on a Senior Level 5 team in her first year. Instead of being discouraged by everything she had to learn, she worked incredibly hard. Watching her turn years of gymnastics training into new tumbling, stunting, and basing/ flying skills has made me incredibly proud of her determination.
