What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreTeagan plays volleyball everywhere with anyone who is willing to hit the ball. She is excited and plays with a smile. She has played 2 years on her middle school team and 2 years at a club level. She says out loud that one day she will play on a professional level and she will teach camps for young athletes.
Her dad is very competitive and both her mom and dad attend practices and weekend tournaments. Justine Wong is Teagan’s volleyball inspiration. She hopes to be like her and play like her. Teagan has a volleyball leadership poster on her bedroom wall.
Teagan was invited to play with a new group of players in Hawaii. It meant saving up to go, practicing extra weekdays, it meant gaining some independence; she called home and said, “I’m not home sick, I’m parent sick.” She is growing up to be a phenomenal young lady and an inspirational athlete. As parents we are so proud of her humility and dedication.
