What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Tenley loves playing baseball because it keeps her competitive and challenges her to keep improving. Tenley loves basketball for the thrill of the game. She mostly loves the defensive aspect of being able to dominate under the basket.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Tenleys biggest inspiration came from her Grandpa Troy. He started throwing baseballs & dribbling basketballs with her when she was a toddler & was her biggest fan. After his passing she has pushed herself to continue thriving in the sports he loved so much.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Tenley was born with severe bilateral clubfoot and scoliosis. The doctors advised that without multiple surgeries she would not be able to walk or live a fully active life and even with surgery she would still battle with pain & discomfort. 4 surgeries on her feet later; she continues to surpass everyone’s expectations. Despite living with daily pain she has never let it stop her from achieving her goals.
