What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

I asked him right after football practice what he truly loves most about sports and he said mom "it is the competition." Thatcher says that of course he loves to win especially right now barely 10 years old but he already understands the importance of the effort you put into each match whether on the field, mat, mound and even the court. He said if "I work as hard as I can to prepare then I go out and give all my effort from preparation to lose I know I have more to work towards and learn."

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My parents he states, they have always made time to put us kids first. I have 3 sibilings 2 which are active in sports as well. If I ask my parents to practice at home, with me or if I can just run for excercise they push me. I have a push up board, weight bands in the garage and a membership to out local weight room. I would say Micheal Jordan is my idol for a professional inspiration. He is so talented in many sports which is inspiring but encourages trust, teamwork, and many other values.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Thatcher states when he intercepted a pass near the 10 yard line and ran the whole length of the football field for a touch down. This was a memorable moment however Tanner and I feel the joy on his face and the competitive spirit he has when he knows he can do anything he sets his mind to with hardwork and effort is an uncomparable feeling. It is sad to see him fail but with this kid the intensity in his eyes you just know he is going to work his butt off and fight to be stronger next time.
