What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What I love most about playing sports is the feeling they give me. I love the game of football and the feeling of being on the field with my teammates. In wrestling, I love getting off the mat knowing I gave everything I had and won. Baseball is different because baseball is family to me. I love being around my baseball family and the friendships and memories we have made together. Sports have given me some of my favorite moments.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

The people who inspire me most are Coach Jake, Mrs. McNeely, and my mom. Coach Jake got me back into football and has always supported me in everything I do. Mrs. McNeely has supported me in school and helped me since 1st grade. My mom is my biggest inspiration. She always shows up for me and my sister, works hard chasing her own dreams, and still makes sure I get to chase mine. I’m thankful for all three of them.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

I truly can’t pick just one moment because this entire year has made me so proud. I’ve watched my son work harder, push through challenges, and grow so much. From needing 9 players to bring him down in football, to 2 baseball home runs, including a grand slam, to placing 1st or 2nd in every wrestling tournament and making TOC. But what makes me proudest is the respect he shows his coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials.
