She’s eager to learn all she can about the sport, how it can make her better both on and off the court, and how she can share the knowledge to help others grow.
Tori is inspired by her sister, à cross country runner and basketball player. Her sister has faced serious injuries throughout her athletic career, but has not let her sport or injury define her. Tori notes how her sister strives to get better each day, while still encouraging Tori to pursue her dreams and be the best she can be. She sees how her sister continues to cheer her on and uses that to spread positive energy within her team.
Tori doesn’t let the wins or losses define what she or her team is capable of. One bad day doesn’t define a tourney or season. During an especially tough national tournament, the team hit a season low. Tori was the first one to rally the team, help change the mentality and remind each teammate tomorrow is a new day. The girls went into day 2 ready to go and played like they were playing for the championship. While they didn’t walk away with a medal, they walked away with much more.
